Prevention of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse Webinar

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse Webinar
Developing your own Policy to Prevent Sexual Exploitation & Abuse - best practice approaches and the ACFID Code of Conduct

All ACFID members are required to have in place a policy that prohibits sexual exploitation and abuse, describes behavioural standards, specifies reporting responsibilities and articulates the ways in which the policy will be implemented, including with partners.

This webinar is designed for those in the driving seat behind this policy approach – if you don’t have one, have one on the drafting board, or have one but it needs refreshing......

We unpack the core principles on how to develop a policy, what it needs to include, as well as the essential principles behind the requirements and how they all come together to help prevent sexual exploitation & abuse within your agency but importantly within the communities in which you work.

We will also explore and expand on the ACFID Guidance that was released earlier – found here. It would be advantageous if you have had a look at this document prior to the webinar.

We welcome any questions you may have IN ADVANCE of the webinar. If you have any aspects you would like us to address or expand upon, please direct your questions/feedback to before Thursday 22 August.

The webinar is co-hosted by ACFID’s Standards and Code Team alongside Jo Thomson and Belinda Lucas form Learning4Development who provided the expertise into ACFID’s much anticipated Guidelines for the Development of a Policy to Prevent Sexual Exploitation & Abuse.
