This webinar is a great introduction to anyone new to the sector as well as a good refresher for all staff and volunteers working in development and humanitarian programs. The DFAT presenters will explain why children need care and protection and the role of development agencies to protect children. The presenters will describe some of the risks children can be exposed to through development and humanitarian programs and the ways these risks can be managed. They will also provide a brief overview of the relevant changes to the updated DFAT Child Protection Policy and the support materials that are now available to assist partners.
This webinar is targeted at ACFID member organisations who receive funding under the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).
